Aliyu Jibia enrolled at Jibia central primary school in 1963. He gained admission into the famous Government secondary school, Katsina in 1973, and later graduated from Ahmad Bello University in 1979 with a degree (combined honours) in English and Political Science. In 1981, he was awarded an M.A Degree in English by the authorities of Bayero University.
His first novel "The Hunts Begins" was published by the triumph publishing Company in 1982. In 1984, he was awarded a special fellowship by the "Islamic Foundation of London" to complete his second novel "The End of the Road" in Leicester.
Aliyu Jibia is now a Senior lecturer in the Department of Political Science, Bayero University, after earning a Doctorate degree in political History from the international university of Africa Khartoum, Sudan. A veteran political activist, a one time National Assembly contestant and a pioneer fish farmer.
